The Fonderia Silvestri has been operating since 1998 with the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 quality system certified by DNV. Product traceability for each single batch is ensured and accompanied with a certificate of chemical analysis, and on request, by RX video control, tensile testing and penetrating fluids – metallographic report.
The laboratory is equipped with a “150 kV GILARDONI” X-ray machine with a rotating board for the radioscopic control of castings, a “SPECTRO” spectrometer for the chemical analysis of alloys, a hardometer and penetrating fluids, tensile testing, a metallographic laboratory and a laboratory to control moulding sands.
The METALLOGRAPHIC laboratory
Installed in 2008, the purpose of the metallographic laboratory is to study molecular structure and to improve the resulting mechanical characteristics of castings.
