The Fonderia Silvestri has been operating since 1998 with the UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 quality control system, certified by DNV. The product traceability for each single batch is ensured and equipped with a certificate of chemical analysis, and, on request, with X-Ray video control, tensile strength testing, penetrating fluids test and metallographic report.
The laboratory is equipped with a “150 kV GILARDONI” X-ray machine with a rotating board for the radioscopic control of castings, a “SPECTRO” spectrometer for the chemical analysis of alloys, a hardometer, penetrating fluids and tensile strength testing equipments, together with a metallographic laboratory and a laboratory to control molding sands.
The castings can be delivered:

» with heat treatment (temper, solubility, artificial ageing techniques)
» mechanically machined
» vibratory finishing
» powder painting coated
» with anodic oxidation
» with electrophoresis treatment
The METALLOGRAPHIC laboratory
Installed in 2008 the metallographic laboratory aim is to study molecular structure and to improve the resulting mechanical characteristics of castings.

Installed in 2009 the molding sand laboratory is essential for the adjustment of the molding sands and to control granulometry and the chemical composition of sands.
